Tackling your move together

Buying a new home is exciting but can feel a little daunting, especially if you’re a first-time buyer or are downsizing and haven’t moved home for some years. Kinsted’s experienced sales advisors are here for you every step of the way and since there’s so much to think about, we’ve put together a range of easy-to-follow guides to help you can make informed decisions about buying your property.

Early Bird

As its name suggests, our Early Bird scheme enables you to reserve a property before it is released. A refundable Early Bird reservation fee applies and the plot is marked as reserved.

Once the property is released for sale, a sales advisor will be in touch and you will have 48 hours to decide whether to proceed with full reservation.

Decide to proceed and the reservation process will be followed. Choose not to, for whatever reason, and the property will be put on the open market, with your Early Bird deposit refunded in full once the cancellation process is complete.

Reserving a home

Once you’ve chosen a home and paid your reservation fee, we’ll reserve the property for you. This fee is deducted from the balance you pay when you move in.

Depending on the stage of the build, you’ll be invited to look around your new home with the site manager and ask any questions about the property.

Our sales team will explain the role of the NHBC and the advantages of the NHBC Buildmark insurance and warranty.

New build mortgages

If you need a mortgage, but haven’t yet arranged your finances, don’t worry you can still reserve your new Kinsted home but should then act quickly. If it helps, our sales advisors can put you in touch with an independent financial advisor who can check with a wide range of lenders offering numerous different products to find you the most suitable mortgage deal for your situation.
